How can you apply the notion of critical thinking to the testing and assessing of your design ideas?
Answer:
I feel that detailing has a big role in critical thinking the more one can detail the little thing on a project the more complete it can become.
Other wise Gelnda explained in her lecture Week 9 lecture about model making this is an excellent way of producing a simulation of effects that promote emotion. This sort of critical thinking is great if you are trying to test a specific feeling for a specific space.
Other critical thinking can also include design by constraints. When developing a project i feel sometimes its good to go through the list of things one cannot change and things you can impact and letting that impact how your design is formed. This designing via constraints can be a physical thing or a mental things a simple as the client themselves.
Project Specific Answer:
With my project direction i feel i will need to create some process models to test the effects of several technologies i am introducing into the design. My project needs to create an over stimulating responsive environment. I plan to do this through the use of Lighting, Scale, Memories, Responsive journey technology and touch. These are all phonological events
